Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Rekam Medis dan Informasi Kesehatan (JRMIK) must be original and free from plagiarism. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts do not contain plagiarized content and that all sources are properly acknowledged and cited.

Similarity Checking

Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software before submission. This step helps authors identify textual similarities and ensure appropriate attribution of ideas, statements, and other materials obtained from published sources.

The editorial team screens submitted manuscripts for plagiarism using Turnitin as part of the editorial assessment process.

Editorial Assessment

The editorial team evaluates the results of similarity checking to identify potential plagiarism and inappropriate textual overlap. Similarity reports are assessed in context, since a similarity score alone does not necessarily establish plagiarism.

If a manuscript is found to contain plagiarism or substantial unattributed material, the editorial team may reject the manuscript or request appropriate corrections, depending on the nature and severity of the findings.

Author Responsibility

Authors must ensure the originality and academic integrity of their submissions. All borrowed ideas, quotations, data, and other materials must be appropriately acknowledged in accordance with accepted academic citation practices.

By submitting a manuscript to JRMIK, authors acknowledge their responsibility to comply with this plagiarism policy and uphold the principles of publication ethics.
