Peer Review Process

Each manuscript submitted to the Jurnal Riset Gizi (JRG) will undergo an initial assessment (desk evaluation) by the editor to ensure that the topic is appropriate, the files are complete, and the manuscript is in line with the journal's focus and scope. Manuscripts that are deemed eligible will proceed to a double-blind peer review process, in which the authors and reviewers do not know each other's identities.

Each manuscript is assessed by at least two expert reviewers specialising in nutrition, public health, food, or related fields. If necessary, the editor may invite a third reviewer to provide a final opinion. The review process is centred on the originality of the research, the depth of the analysis, the relevance of the methodology, the scientific accuracy, and the contribution to the advancement of nutritional science and practice.

The decision to accept, reject, or revise is determined based on the reviewers' recommendations. Manuscripts that require revision must be returned to the author for improvement in accordance with the comments of the reviewers and editors. The review process depends on the speed of the author's response in completing the revisions. The editor has the right to make the final decision on the articles to be published.
