Pengetahuan Penderita Hipertensi Tentang Pengolahan Obat Tradisional Untuk Hipertensi

Abstract

As a chronic condition, hypertension necessitates ongoing care, which includes the appropriate and safe application of conventional treatments. In order to successfully regulate blood pressure and avoid complications, hypertension patients' understanding of traditional medicine management is essential. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the degree of awareness among hypertension patients about conventional hypertension medication management. The research employed a crosssectional methodology and a descriptive quantitative design. Purposive sampling was used to choose the study sample, which was made up of people with hypertension who satisfied the inclusion requirements. A standardized questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing was used to gather data. Descriptive analysis was done to show how respondents' knowledge levels were divided into low, medium, and high groups. The findings demonstrated that respondents' knowledge levels were distributed differently, depending on their educational background, information sources, and prior experience with traditional medicine. According to the intended focus, it can be inferred from the research objectives that this study effectively determined the degree of knowledge that individuals with hypertension possess about the conventional treatment of hypertension medication. These results form the foundation for creating a more focused educational program that will enable the safe, efficient, and integrated use of traditional
medicine in conjunction with medical therapy.
