Focus and Scope

Buletin Keslingmas (p-ISSN : 0215-742X e-ISSN : 2655-8033) covers research in the field of Sanitation and Environmental Health, including

  • water sanitation,
  • air sanitation,
  • food sanitation,
  • soil sanitation and waste management,
  • vector control,
  • sanitation of public facilities,
  • Health and Occupational Safety Information Systems,
  • Environmental Health Epidemiology,

as well as the field of public health.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to the Buletin Keslingmas Journal will undergo a two-stage review process: a preliminary review and a substantive review.

The preliminary review is conducted by the editorial team to assess the article’s alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as its adherence to the journal’s style and the Buletin Keslingmas writing guidelines.

The single-blind substantive review is conducted by at least two reviewers. The review period ranges from 3 to 12 weeks. If desired, reviewers may request a re-review after the author revises the article.

Plagiarism screening will be conducted by the editorial team using plagiarism detection software, with a maximum reasonable limit of 20%.

The scientific journal publication process consists of several stages, namely:

  1. Manuscript submission
  2. Evaluation of manuscripts by appointed reviewers
  3. Manuscript revision process
  4. Editing of manuscripts that have been accepted
  5. Sending the edited manuscript to the author for proofreading
  6. Request for Assignment of Copyright from the author
  7. Publication of the scientific journal

In detail, the process is as follows:

  1. Entering paper data into the database
  2. Printing the disposition sheet
  3. Creating a paper archive
  4. Assigning reviewers to the paper
  5. Sending the paper to referees for evaluation
  6. Sending a notification to the author
  7. Sending the referee report to the author for revision
  8. Requesting further comments from the reviewer on the revised paper
  9. If the paper still requires revision, further comments are sent to the author
  10. Editing the article according to the format.
  11. Sending the paper to the author for a final review.
  12. Performing final editing.
  13. Publishing the journal.

Buletin Keslingmas (ISSN: 0215-742X) is published four times a year: March, June, September, and December.

This journal provides direct open access to its content based on the principle that freely available research supports greater global exchange of knowledge.

  • Starting with Vol. 44, No. 3, 2025, the Buletin Keslingmas journal operates on the OJS V.3 system.

2024

  • Starting with Vol. 43, No. 2, 2024, the Buletin Keslingmas journal implemented fees for published articles based on the Decree of the Director of the Semarang Ministry of Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang).
    Awarded a Sinta 4 ranking (April 1, 2024, No. 72/E/KPT/2024)

2022

  • The reference style was changed from the Vancouver style (superscript) to Superscript, effective starting with Vol. 41, No. 3, 2022

2020

  • The change in the journal’s logo in articles began with Vol. 39, No. 1, 2020
