Background: The incidence of pregnancy anemia in Indonesia shows quite high values, namely pregnant women aged 15-24 years 84.6%, aged 25-34 years 33.7%, aged 35-44 years 33.6% and aged 45-54 years 24 % (Riskesdas, 2018). The Purworejo District Health Service (DKK) noted that in 2020, anemia in pregnant women in Purworejo Regency increased by 23.16%, compared to previously only 17.37% in 2019. The incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Winong Kemiri Community Health Center, Purworejo Regency is 55.2%. Management of anemia in pregnant women is carried out by the government by providing blood supplement tablets 60 mg/day. With the local wisdom of the Winong people who cultivate a lot of catfish and moringa leaves, the researchers provided fortified food in the form of gelelor.
Methods: This research was conducted in Purworejo Regency. The type of research used quantitative with Quasy Experimental Design design using the Two Group Pretest-Postest Design approach. The sample of this study was 40 pregnant women with anemia at the Winong Health Center. The sampling technique used purposive sampling.
Result : The results of the analysis using the Paired Sampet T-Test, the provision of catfish geblek and moringa leaves had an effect on hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia at the Winong Kemiri Health Center, Purworejo with a sign value of 0.000 p value (0.05) based on the results of the posttest score increasing compared to the pretest score
Conclusion: It is hoped that the results of this research will enable health workers, especially midwives, to promote gelelor routinely as an accompaniment to blood supplement tablets for pregnant women with anemia to increase hemoglobin levels
