STUDI LITERATUR : PENINGKATAN KESELAMATAN PASIEN DALAM DETEKSI DINI KEGAWATDARURATAN PASIEN MENGGUNAKAN EARLY WARNING SCORE

Abstract


Latar Belakang : EWS direkomendasikan sebagai alat untuk membantu pemantauan perubahan kondisi pasien. EWS telah dikembangkan di rumah sakit serta termasuk dalam salah satu hal yang dinilai dalam Standar Akreditasi Rumah Sakit (SNARS). Dalam pelaksanaanya EWS masih memiliki beberapa kendala.

Tujuan : Mengidentifikasi artikel-artikel penelitian tentang efektivitas penggunaan EWS sebagai instrumen deteksi dini perburukan kondisi pasien.

Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur. Database yang digunakan adalah ProQuest, Pubmed, SINTA dan Google Scholar. Kata kunci dalam pencarian artikel adalah “Patient safety AND Early Warning Score”, “Patient Safety OR Early Warning Score” dan “Patient Safety AND Nursing”. Peneliti menemukan 8 artikel penelitian yang sesuai dengan topik penelitian. Artikel bersumber pada jurnal nasional maupun internasional, dapat diakses secara penuh, dan terpublikasi pada tahun 2016-2020. Artikel dianalisis sehingga ditemukan poin-poin yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian.

Hasil : EWS merupakan instrumen identifikasi, monitoring perubahan fisiologis, dan dasar dalam menentukan rencana tindak lanjut bagi pasien. Perawat dalam hal ini berperan dalam melakukan pengkajian awal, monitoring kondisi pasien, dan memutuskan tindakan selanjutnya. Implementasi EWS di tatanan layanan kesehatan dapat mengurangi risiko perburukan, menurunkan insiden klinik, dan meningkatkan kemampuan deteksi perubahan fisiologis pasien.
