Abstract

Postpartum depression (PPD) is a psychological health issue that affects 10% to 15% of maternal health situations globally. This project attempts to evaluate the causation of postnatal depression in respect to pregnancy history employing diverse population trends. from developed, developing, and impoverished nations. A systematic literature review guided by The Preferred Reported Criteria for A systematic Evaluates and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) from Science Direct, Pub Med, and Wiley Online Library served as the study's methodology and process. The search for data is scheduled for October of 2023. 13 articles out of 241 are eligible for inclusion. Findings: Pregnancy histories in developing nations are mostly characterized by intimate partner abuse, a weak social economy, low levels of education, and a lack of social support. Postpartum depression is more common in underdeveloped nations among moms who experienced adolescence during pregnancy, HIV/AIDS pregnancy, and the Covid epidemic. Postpartum depression symptoms are partly caused by pregnant women who lead unhealthy lifestyles and who have illnesses during pregnancy in industrialized countries. Conclusion: A variety of factors, including mother-infant attachment, sleep, pain, cognitive function, and pregnancy history, might act as triggers for postpartum depression and adversely affect several aspects of postpartum recovery.
