Abstract

One of the problems in health development is the shift in patterns from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This has an impact on the productivity of daily activities. According to WHO, NCDs account for 63% of annual deaths. Riskesdas data from 2013 to 2018 saw an increase in the incidence of diabetes 8.5%, hypertension 34.1%, and smoking 9.1%. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with early detection behavior for NCD risk. The type of research is analytical observational with a cross sectional design. The total sample was 60 respondents, knowledge and attitudes were measured with questionnaire instrument and using chi square for data analysis. The results of this research, there were relationship between attitudes (p-value=0.006) and knowledge (p-value=0.029) on family behavior in early detection of NCD risk. The majority of respondents' attitudes are negative, good knowledge and good support. There is a relationship between attitudes and knowledge on family behavior in early detection of NCD risk.
