https://ejournal.poltekkes-smg.ac.id/ojs/index.php/MANR/article/view/10460
Background: Complementary food for breast milk (MP-ASI) is additional food given after the baby is more than six months old as a complementary food to breast milk until the age of two years. MP-ASI given before the baby is six months old can cause infection in the baby's digestive tract so that the baby experiences interference with the absorption of nutrients for growth and development so that the baby experiences stunting. Stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition that is characterized by height or body length that is not in accordance with age or shorter than the normal number. The stunting rate in Banyumas in 2019 reached 16,581 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between early complementary feeding and the incidence of stunting in children aged 2-3 years in Gunung Wetan village Jatilawang district Banyumas district. Methods: cross sectional method. The population in this study was 76 mothers who had children aged 2-3 years. The sample of this study was 36 people. The sampling technique of this study used a purposive sampling technique. The statistical test in this study uses the coefficient-contingency. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between early complementary feeding and the incidence of stunting in children aged 2-3 years, with a p value of 0.003. Based on this study, it can be concluded that early complementary feeding has a relationship with the incidence of stunting in children aged 2-3 years in Gunung Wetan Village Jatilawang district Banyumas district. Conclusion: It is hoped that parents can understand the impact of early complementary feeding as a cause of stunting in children. So that children can be fulfilled with nutrition for their growth and developmentEvada SafitriWiwin Reni RahmawatiTulus Puji HastutiRibkha Itha Idhayanti

https://ejournal.poltekkes-smg.ac.id/ojs/index.php/MANR/article/view/10127
Background: The incidence of short toddlers or commonly known as stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. The expected national stunting target in 2024 is 14%. The prevalence of stunting under five in 2022 in Blora Regency is 25.8%. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of stunting in children under five years in Blora Regency. Methods: This is an analytical survey with a case-control study design. The sample consisted of 140 toddlers (1-5 years old) selected by systematic random sampling. The sample in this study was divided into two, namely the case sample and the case sample control (70 children under five in each group). The subsequent nutrient status assessment was performed using the calculation of longevity indicator by Age (PB/U) or Body Height by Age (TB/U) based on z-score according to WHO. Chi-square and multivariable logistic regression were used to analyze. Results: Bivariate analysis showed that exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.000), the condition of the floor of the house (p=0.000), clean water sources (p=0.000), smoking family (p=0.000), family income (p=0.000), and meat/fish/egg consumption patterns everyday (p=0.000) have a significant relationship with the occurrence of stunting in toddlers. Meat/fish/egg consumption patterns everyday of toodlers was the most dominant risk factor, among the variables. The children (1-5 years old) who never consume meat/fish/eggs every day had 4.410 times the risk of experiencing stunting (95% CI = 1.372-14.177). Conclusion: Consumption of protein (meat/eggs/fish) every day is very necessary for toddlers to prevent risk factors for stunting.Murti AniKrisdiana WijayantiKuswanto KuswantoAulia FatmayantiYanik Muyassaroh

https://ejournal.poltekkes-smg.ac.id/ojs/index.php/MANR/article/view/10059
Infants with LBW are one of the risk factors that have a large enough contribution to perinatal death. LBW babies can experience mental and physical disorders at a later age of development. Many conditions cause babies to be born with low birth weight. The main cause is premature birth, other factors are born to mothers who have health problems during pregnancy (preeclampsia, anemia, malnutrition), birth defects in babies, born to mothers with underweight, mother's age less than 17 years or more from 35 years, multiparous and twin pregnancies. Routine check-ups during pregnancy and meeting the nutritional needs of the mother are the best actions to prevent babies from being born with LBW (Setiaputri, 2021). Data from the Magelang District Health Office for 2021, there were 737 cases of LBW from 16,263 births. The Pakis Health Center is one of the areas that has high LBW cases, namely 44 out of 670 births and experienced an increase in 2022 as many as 52 (7.53%) LBW cases out of 690 birth. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the incidence of LBW in the Working Area of the Pakis Health Center. The method used is quantitative with a retrospective approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the slovin formula obtained 253 respondents. The analysis used is univariate using frequency distribution and bivariate using Spearman Rank. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal age (0.001), parity (0.015), gestational age (0.000), ANC visits (0.003), nutritional status (0.000), anemia (0.000) and preeclampsia (0.000) with the incidence of LBW. Health workers are expected to improve early detection through ANC, one of which is by conducting screening so that treatment can be given earlierYulia RosemawatiRibkha Itha IdhayantiAyuningtyas AyuningtyasBambang Sarwono

https://ejournal.poltekkes-smg.ac.id/ojs/index.php/MANR/article/view/9962
Background : About 5 to 10% of children are thought to have developmental delays. Data on the incidence of general developmental delays are not known with certainty, but it is estimated that around 1-3% of children under the age of 5 experience general developmental delays. Based on data obtained from Aceh's health profile, in 2021 the number of live births will be 10 . 350 babies. Seeing the high number of live births in infants, it is very important to provide stimulus during the golden age so that developmental delays do not occur Method : This type of research is Quasy Experiment with two group pre-test and post-test design. The sample in this study were babies aged 2-11 months, a total of 34 people, of which 17 babies were given massage and baby gymnastic interventions while 17 babies were included in the control group. Results: The results of the study indicated that there were differences in the motor development of infants aged 2-11 months before and after massage and baby gymnastics with a p-value (0.000 <0.05), there were differences in the motor development of infants aged 2-11 months in the control group with a p-value (0.000 <0.05), there is a difference in infant motor development between the massage and baby gymnastics group and the control group with a p-value (0.000 <0.05 ) Conclusions : Baby massage and gymnastics have more influence on the baby's motor development, so that the motor development of babies who are given stimulation of baby massage and gymnastics increases more than babies who are not given any stimulation.Intan Maisa AdillaYusnaini YusnainiFithriany FithrianyCut YuniwatiKartinazahri Kartinazahri

https://ejournal.poltekkes-smg.ac.id/ojs/index.php/MANR/article/view/10381
Background: The leading causes of infant mortality worldwide are asphyxia, pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria. In Indonesia, in the year 2020, there were 28,158 infant deaths, primarily attributed to congenital heart defects, accidents, diarrhea, and pneumonia. Pneumonia is an acute lower respiratory tract infection (involving the alveoli) caused by pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, or fungi, leading to respiratory distress and limited oxygen intake. Risk factors for pneumonia include inadequate exclusive breastfeeding, a history of prematurity, low birth weight, crowded living conditions, air pollution, incomplete basic immunization, malnutrition, and poverty. In 2017, there were approximately 120 million pneumonia cases worldwide, resulting in 1.3 million deaths. Pneumonia claims the lives of 100 children every hour. Methods: This study is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental pre-test post-test with a control group design. The research population includes all toddlers undergoing examinations at the Cibeureum City Health Center in Tasikmalaya, with a sample size of 30 respondents divided into intervention and control groups. The sampling technique used in this study is consecutive sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test for dependent groups and the Mann Whitney test for independent groups. The instruments used were observation sheets related to sputum production and oxygenation status (respiratory rate and oxygen saturation). Results: The result of this research showed that the significance value for sputum production is 0.007, which is less than the p-value of 0.05. Regarding oxygenation status, including respiratory rate and oxygen saturation, the intervention provided to the intervention group yielded p-values of less than 0.005, specifically 0.001 for respiratory rate and 0.003 for oxygen saturation. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the combination of chest physiotherapy and steam inhalation with aromatherapy is effective in improving sputum production, reducing respiratory rate, and increasing oxygen saturation in toddlers with pneumonia. Therefore, it is crucial in nursing care to implement the combination of chest physiotherapy and steam inhalation with aromatherapy.Novi Enis RosulianaTetik NurhayatiKusmiyati Kusmiyati
